Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Internal Audit Manager (Corporate Credit Risk) to lead independent audits across the credit lifecycle. The role ensures credit operations align with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and risk governance best practices.

The successful candidate will audit credit assessment, approval, and post-monitoring processes, review credit files for policy compliance, identify risks, and provide advisory insights to senior management on credit risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years in credit assessment, approval, and monitoring within corporate banking.
• Solid knowledge of credit risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, independent judgment, and professionalism.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced incumbentwith a strong focus on Credit Risk to lead and conduct independent audits across our credit lifecycle. The ideal candidate will ensure that credit operations align with the Bank’s internal policies, regulatory expectations, and best practices in risk governance.

Conduct internal audits of credit assessment, approval, and post-monitoring processes

Review individual credit files to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

Identify hidden risks and assess the quality of credit judgments, approvals, and documentation

Evaluate returns against benchmarks and prepare professional audit reports

Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Business Units to implement corrective actions

Support audit planning and risk assessments to ensure comprehensive coverage

Provide advisory insights to senior management on credit risk frameworks

Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging credit risks

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.

Prior experience in internal audit is not required; however, candidates with a background of 5+ years in credit assessment, approval, and monitoring within corporate banking—specifically in roles such as credit officer or credit approval decision-making—will be given strong preference.

Solid knowledge of credit risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit methodologies.

Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

High level of integrity, independent judgment, and professionalism.
