Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join the Design & Build team. You will translate client visions into functional, high-quality spaces across corporate office projects in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll lead design concepts, produce detailed visuals and drawings, and collaborate with project management, cost consultants, and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
• 2–4 years of interior design experience, corporate office focus a plus.
• Familiarity with design-and-build delivery model and coordination with construction teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar tools.
• Revit knowledge is a bonus.
• English, Cantonese, and Mandarin proficiency a plus.
• Understanding of HK building regulations, construction methods, and finish specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts aligned with client brand, function, sustainability, and budget.
• Produce design visuals and docs: space planning, materials, FF&E specs, drawings.
• Collaborate with project management, cost consultancy, sustainability, and construction teams.
• Attend site meetings, review shop drawings, resolve design issues during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with HK regulations, fire safety, accessibility.
• Contribute to client presentations with clear visuals and messaging.
• Work with senior designers to maintain quality and timelines.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Interior Designer to join our Design & Build team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support the Design Manager/Associate Director in delivering exceptional interior design solutions across a diverse portfolio of corporate office projects—from small fit-outs to large-scale headquarters. This role requires strong technical design capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate client vision into functional, inspiring spaces within a fast-paced design-and-build environment. This role requires strong knowledge in standard design practices, and familiarity with the design-and-build project delivery model. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative design professional who can work independently as well as within a team, deliver compelling design solutions, and handle projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing interior design concepts that align with the client’s brand, functional needs, sustainability goals, and budget.
• Produce high-quality design visuals and documentation, including space planning, material selections, FF&E specifications, and construction drawings.
• Collaborate closely with JLL’s project management, cost consultancy, sustainability, and construction teams to deliver integrated design-and-build solutions.
• Support site supervision activities, including attending site meetings, reviewing shop drawings, and helping to resolve design-related issues during construction.
• Ensure all designs comply with Hong Kong building regulations, fire safety codes, and accessibility standards.
• Contribute to client presentations and design proposals with quality visuals and clear communication.
• Work with senior designers and external consultants to maintain design quality and project timelines.
• Assist with documentation, contractor communication, and site works under the guidance of senior team members.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on corporate office projects being a plus.
• Familiarity with the design-and-build delivery model, including coordination with construction teams.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Enscape, and/or similar visualization tools).
• Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin will be a plus.
• A developing understanding of local statutory requirements, construction methods, and finish specifications in Hong Kong.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
