Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong seeks a Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of insurance products, from ideation to post-launch enhancements. You will work with Underwriting, Actuarial, Distribution, Operations, Compliance, Marketing and Claims to ensure products are competitive and compliant.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of insurance product development and product governance.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and managing stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations for product approval and governance.
• Analytical skills to interpret data for product decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus project management ability.
• Proficiency in standard documentation practices and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development activities from strategy to launch and post-launch improvements.
• Define product scope, target segments, value proposition, and features aligned with business strategy.
• Coordinate with Actuarial on pricing assumptions, reserves considerations, profitability objectives, and product structuring.
• Develop and maintain product documentation including specifications, benefit schedules, policy wordings, and sales materials.
• Ensure regulatory requirements, governance processes, and compliance standards are met for proposals and changes.
• Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional teams; drive launch execution.
• Liaise with Distribution to ensure product design supports sales and seller suitability.
• Collaborate with Operations and Systems to confirm readiness, workflow updates, and system configuration.
• Support Product Governance activities including approvals, risk assessments, and change control.
• Monitor product performance post-launch and drive enhancements based on sales, persistency, and feedback.
• Identify improvement opportunities to strengthen customer experience and efficiency.
• Manage vendors or consultants supporting product development, documentation, or system changes.
