Job summary

bolttech in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced professional to act as the Responsible Officer of our licensed digital insurance brokerage business. You will supervise regulated activities, oversee regulatory filings, and coordinate with Insurance Authority.

You will lead compliance policy development with Legal & Compliance, manage relationships with insurance partners to drive business development and strategic partnerships, and train the team on regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• Must be a degree holder in Finance, Accounting or business administration related disciplines.
• Must be a current/former Responsible Officer of a Licensed Insurance Agency or Licensed Insurance Broker Company.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including 2 years of management, preferably from an insurance brokerage.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of general insurance products.
• IIQE 1,2,3 license is a MUST.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English and Chinese.
• Flexible, adaptable and able to embrace changes.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising operations including settlement, account management, risk management, claims administration and customer service.
• Performing evaluation and due diligence process to onboard new product providers and distribution partners together with our Legal & Compliance team.
• Working closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure all product distribution processes comply with regulatory requirements.
• Reviewing all policies and procedures related to operations and risk control to ensure operations and all regulated activities are fully compliant with IA regulations and requirements.
• Providing training and support to team members on compliance-related issues and promoting a strong culture of compliance and ethics.
• Partnering with our Legal & Compliance team to address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and developments and providing coaching and training to team members on regulatory updates proactively.
• Perform other duties and engage in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
