Job summary

Leadingnation seeks an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead or support end-to-end delivery of modernization and migration initiatives within a large banking group. The role is renewal contract (1 year via secondment) based in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, requiring strong hands-on technical background and cross-functional leadership.

You will manage project plans, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining service continuity

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years IT project management experience for enterprise infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Linux/Unix, Windows, or EUC.
• Experience delivering infrastructure modernization or migrations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations and service continuity.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

About the role

Infrastructure Project Manager (PMO) leading or supporting the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure modernization, migration, transformation, and upgrade projects across the bank. This is a renewable contract position (1 year secondment) based in Kwun Tong within a leading banking and financial services group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure modernization, migration, transformation, and upgrade projects across the bank
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests
• Coordinate technical implementation, migration, rollout, cutover, and operational handover activities with internal teams and external vendors
• Track project progress continuously to ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards
• Apply hands-on technical expertise to facilitate technical assessments, implementation planning, and architecture discussions
• Manage stakeholder communications, project status reporting, regular committee meetings, and issue escalations
• Bridge project delivery with operational readiness, ensuring legacy systems and new platforms transition smoothly

About you

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Over 5 years of IT project management experience, with a focus on delivering enterprise infrastructure projects
• Strong hands-on technical background in at least one key domain: Linux/Unix, Windows, or Deskside/End User Computing (EUC)
• Proven track record of managing infrastructure modernization, legacy migration, consolidation, or transformation initiatives
• Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations, technical dependencies, and service continuity requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams, manage vendor deliverables, and align diverse stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to translate complex technical issues into actionable project plans
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and collaboration tools
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred
