Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support on-premises data centre infrastructure, including Linux, Kafka, MQ, and middleware integration. The role involves collaboration with global teams, vendor management, and contributing to OS provisioning and server builds.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Linux/Unix experience, virtualization skills (VMware, KVM, OpenShift) and basic Docker/container knowledge, with Cantonese and English language abilities.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in on-premises data centre infrastructure.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional global teams.
• Knowledge of Kafka and MQ installation and configuration.
• Experience with virtualization and containerisation (VMware, KVM, OpenShift, Docker).
• Familiarity with databases concepts.
• Proficiency in Cantonese and basic English.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix OS across on-prem data centre.
• Collaborate with vendors and global/regional teams for stability.
• Follow ITIL incident management processes.
• Manage virtualization environments and support Docker containerisation.
• Collaborate with infra, application, and security teams for reliable on-prem solutions.
• Contribute to OS provisioning, server build, patching, and middleware integration.
