Leadingnation is seeking a data-driven Senior Information Architect (App & Web) to shape how hundreds of thousands of daily users discover, navigate, and complete tasks across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
This hands-on role audits existing products, designs resilient end-to-end user journeys, and defines taxonomies, sitemaps, labeling systems, and cross‑platform navigation to ensure scalable, accessible experiences.
We are seeking a data-driven Senior Information Architect (App & Web) to join our company. You will shape how hundreds of thousands of daily users discover, navigate, and complete tasks across our iOS, Android, and Web platforms. This is a hands-on role focused on systematically auditing existing products, designing resilient end-to-end user journeys, and predicting edge cases in high-traffic scenarios.
Sitemaps & Global Navigation Patterns: Define, optimize, and maintain comprehensive sitemaps and global/local navigation frameworks for mobile apps (iOS/Android) and responsive web applications.
Content Audits & Inventories: Conduct systematic content inventories and audits across existing digital touchpoints to evaluate structural health, drop-off points, and taxonomy effectiveness.
Taxonomy & Controlled Vocabularies: Develop, document, and standardize multi-level content taxonomies, tagging systems, and controlled vocabularies to support robust searchability and filtering.
Labelling Systems & Microcopy Clarity: Design intuitive labeling systems and UI microcopy hierarchies that clarify navigation paths and reduce user cognitive overhead across complex workflows.
End-to-End User Flow Architecture: Map detailed user journey flows, task flows, and decision trees covering key customer scenarios from discovery to task completion.
Cross-Platform Navigation Continuity: Ensure seamless structural alignment, deep-linking schema, and smooth transitions between web user acquisition funnels and mobile app retention loops.
Heuristic Audits & Usability Friction Identification: Routinely audit current production apps and web pages to detect findability gaps, structural bottlenecks, and unnecessary navigation friction.
High-Concurrency Edge Case Modeling: Map failure modes and structural edge cases during peak concurrency scenarios (e.g., flash coupon claims, queue timeouts, weak connectivity, and booking clashes).
Fallback Pathways & Error Recovery: Design resilient error-handling states, fallback navigation paths, and recovery loops to protect conversion rates and user trust during system latency or transaction errors.
System Architecture & Scale Alignment: Anticipate structural scaling constraints to ensure taxonomies and sitemaps accommodate future feature releases, product line expansions, and content growth.
Data-Informed Architectural Iteration: Utilize quantitative product analytics (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics) and qualitative research to validate IA updates against core business KPIs.
Design System & Governance Collaboration: Partner with Design System maintainers and Product/Engineering leads to establish and govern global IA patterns and structural UI guidelines across teams.
- Translate complex business logic and research insights into clear structural wireframes, journey maps, and IA documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Engineering leads to find optimal trade-offs between UX excellence and technical feasibility under legacy system constraints.
- Proven experience as an Information Architect, UX Designer with strong IA focus, or similar role, ideally on consumer or B2C mobile apps and web products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user journey design, sitemaps, flow diagrams, navigation systems, and content organisation work.
- Solid understanding of mobile app information architecture principles and differences between app and web patterns.
- Experience creating and facilitating user flows, journey maps, and structural wireframes.
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Comfort working with analytics tools and research insights to measure and improve IA decisions against KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to work within established design standards and uphold company core values in day-to-day decisions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; comfortable presenting IA recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with common tools such as Figma, Miro, FigJam, Whimsical, or equivalent for flows, sitemaps, and collaboration.
- Experience in mobile-first or app-heavy product companies.
- Hands-on experience with funnel analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.) and translating data into IA recommendations.
- Background in content strategy, taxonomy design, or service design.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles applied to navigation and information structure.
- Exposure to A/B testing or analytics-informed IA iteration.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Library/Information Science, or related field.
