Job summary

Canadian International School of Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IB Math & Numeracy Learning Support Teacher (Upper School) for the 2027–2028 school year. You will teach Grades 9–10 IB MYP Math and provide targeted numeracy support, collaborating with the Student Success Team and Mathematics Department to foster inclusive practices and student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Differentiated, inquiry-based and inclusive teaching approaches for Grades 9–10 Math.
• IB MYP experience and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs.
• Strong communication, organization and case-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with families, colleagues and specialists.
• Experience with IB DP Math and transition from MYP to DP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess Grades 9–10 Math using differentiated, inquiry-based and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Deliver targeted numeracy support through co-teaching, small-group instruction and intervention programmes.
• Use assessment data to identify learning needs, monitor progress and implement effective support strategies.
• Manage student learning support plans and collaborate with families, teachers and specialists to promote student success.
• Provide individualized coaching to build numeracy skills, organization, self‑advocacy, confidence and independence.
• Contribute to the Mathematics Department through UDL, differentiation, professional collaboration and safeguarding standards.
