Job summary

PayerMax, a global Fintech leader, invites an experienced HR expert to support its Hong Kong business. You will partner with leaders to shape HR plans, drive performance reviews, and develop key talent while ensuring regulatory compliance and a positive work environment.

You will work closely with regional HR and business teams, promoting company culture and facilitating communication across levels in English and Chinese. This role requires strong adaptability in a fast-paced fintech setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in HR, business administration or related field.
  • 8+ years HR experience, including at least 3 years as HRBP.
  • Strong knowledge of performance management and talent development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese with outstanding communication.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategies and talent needs and formulate annual/periodic HR plans.
  • Lead annual/quarterly performance reviews; coach managers on goals and feedback; develop IDPs and coordinate training.
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management; address concerns and resolve conflicts; communicate compensation policies.
  • Promote and embody company culture; organize team-building and internal communications events to strengthen cohesion.
  • Ensure HR activities comply with Hong Kong labor laws and company policies; stay updated on regulatory changes to mitigate risks.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of our Global HR Team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with different HR function team and regional business teams. You will act as a Human Resources Expert, providing strong support for PayerMax's Hong Kong business and contributing to the company's future growth

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner closely with business leaders to gain a deep understanding of business strategies and talent needs, and accordingly formulate and execute annual/periodic HR plans; conduct regular talent reviews to identify critical talent and capability gaps, and collaborate with the recruitment team to establish hiring priorities
  • Drive the annual and quarterly performance review processes, coaching managers on goal setting, performance feedback, and improvement conversations; identify high-potential employees, develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for them, and coordinate training resources to support their professional growth
  • Act as a communication bridge between employees and management, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely and appropriate manner to maintain a positive labor climate; lead various employee interviews (onboarding, probation, offboarding, career development, etc.) to continuously enhance employee satisfaction and retention; work with the C&B team to clearly communicate compensation and benefits policies to employees, ensuring accurate and timely information delivery
  • Actively promote and embody company culture and values; plan and organize team-building activities, employee care initiatives, and internal communication events to strengthen team cohesion
  • Ensure all HR activities are conducted in full compliance with local labor laws and company policies, and stay updated on regulatory changes to mitigate compliance risks
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; candidates with relevant industry experience are also considered
  • 8+ years of HR-related experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP role
  • Solid knowledge and practical understanding of performance management, talent development, and other core HR modules
  • Results-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong resilience to pressure and adaptability to change
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with HR-related laws and regulations in Hong Kong is a plus
