Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with leaders in Hong Kong's fintech business. This hands-on role focuses on workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement in a fast-paced environment.

You will coach managers on people issues, support hiring, performance, succession, and organizational development, and ensure compliance with HK employment practices. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HRBP experience in tech/fintech or fast-paced settings.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong employment practices and employee relations.
• Experience in talent management, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational development, talent management, performance, and employee relations.
• Provide practical HR advice and coaching on people management, performance issues, team effectiveness, and organizational changes.
• Support hiring, talent reviews, succession planning, employee development, and retention in partnership with Group People functions.
• Handle day-to-day employee relations matters with sound judgment and a strong understanding of Hong Kong employment practices.
• Support key employee lifecycle processes and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and practices.
• Identify people and organizational challenges and recommend practical solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Use HR data and employee insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with the Group People team on global and regional HR initiatives, organizational changes, and continuous improvement of the employee experience.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, business-facing role suited to an HR professional who combines strong HR judgment, business acumen, and execution capabilities, and is comfortable navigating a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Demonstrated experience across talent management, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
• Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-oriented, with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working within a structured HRBP / COE / HR Operations / Shared Services model is strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
