Job summary

Morgan Stanley Hong Kong Data Center is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee engineering services in the facilities. You will liaise with team leads, plan and implement procedures, manage incidents, and drive safety and efficiency in a mission-critical environment.

With a background in infrastructure services and a degree in engineering or CS/tech, you will contribute to regional/global process improvements, monitor energy use, and support budgeting and cost management for the data

Qualifications

• Fluent English and Cantonese; bilingual preferred.
• Engineering or CS/Tech degree required.
• Minimum 7 years in infrastructure services management, preferably data centers.
• Know local standards, codes of practice or best industry practices.
• Understanding of IT systems, data center layouts, cabling, and IT asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist HK Operations Manager in daily data center activities to maintain uptime.
• Oversee maintenance activities and incidents, identify and mitigate risks.
• Review Change Management documentation for tasks in data centers.
• Coordinate with vendors for method statements, risk assessments and permits to work.
• Monitor energy consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Assist in budgeting and cost monitoring for data center operations.
