Job summary

Vertiv in Hong Kong is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead technical design proposals and tender submissions for critical infrastructure. The role provides SME support for AC power solutions and requires delivering compelling client presentations while coordinating FAT/SAT and on-site T&C activities.

Strong collaboration with sales teams is essential to translate complex roadmaps into actionable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in critical power, UPS, or data center infrastructure.
• REW license preferred; hands-on installation, design and repair with licensed REW for managerial positions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of technical design proposals and comprehensive tender submissions for critical infrastructure.
• Provide SME support for AC power solutions and address complex customer inquiries.
• Deliver professional presentations, lead trade seminars and manage product launch events.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT to ensure global standards are met and oversee on-site activities (design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lead the preparation of technical design proposals and comprehensive tender submissions for critical infrastructure.
• Address complex customer inquiries and provide subject matter expertise (SME) for AC power solutions.
• Deliver professional customer presentations, lead trade seminars, and manage new product launching events.
• Coordinate and oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure global standards are met.
• Direct on-site activities including design implementation, installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure all works meet Hong Kong electrical standards, including the preparation and submission of WR1 and WR2 forms.
• Support sales teams by translating complex technical roadmaps into clear, high-value client solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder or above in Building Services or Electrical Engineering with major in heavy power electronics or electrical distributions
• 8+ years in critical power, UPS, or data center infrastructure preferred
• Holding a Registered Electrical Worker (REW C0) license is preferred
• Practical hands-on experiences in installation/ design/ repairing and licensed REW for managerial positions
• Self-motivated team player, able to work independently, and willing to build relationship with people and customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project and AutoCAD
• Good command in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
