Job summary

Vertiv (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an (Assistant) Service Engineer, Power to deliver technical support and maintenance for our power solutions. This full-time role involves hands-on maintenance of UPS and critical power equipment, on-site customer liaison, and detailed reporting to ensure reliable operation.

You will work closely with the Vertiv team, apply troubleshooting skills, and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience maintaining power systems (UPS or similar).
• Familiar with power system components and commissioning procedures.
• Strong English and Cantonese communication; client liaison skills.
• Able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on UPS and critical power equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues; implement timely solutions.
• Provide on-site support and liaise with customers on power needs.
• Maintain detailed service records and prepare reports.

About the role

As an (Assistant) Service Engineer, Power with Vertiv (Hong Kong) Limited, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and maintenance services for Vertiv's power solutions. This full-time position will see you work closely with customers to ensure the reliable operation of critical power infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Executing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of power systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and other critical power equipment

Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner

Providing on-site support and liaising with customers to understand their power-related requirements and concerns

Maintaining detailed records of all service interventions and providing comprehensive reports

Collaborating with the wider Vertiv team to share knowledge and best practices

Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline

1-2 years' experience in the maintenance and repair of power systems, such as UPS, or other critical infrastructure

Familiarity with power system components, troubleshooting techniques, and commissioning procedures

Strong communication and customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Proficient in English and Cantonese, with the ability to understand technical manuals and documentation
