Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is seeking a Headwaiter/Headwaitress to lead Food & Beverage service and ensure adherence to the hotel’s standards. You will report to the Restaurant Manager and supervise daily operations in a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in F&B with at least 2 years in supervision, fluent English and Cantonese, and strong leadership skills. Mandarin is a plus, with opportunities for growth within a world-renowned hotel group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Food & Beverage with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a 5-star hotel is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant Manager.

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
• Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
• Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
• Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
• Prepare the duty roster for the service staff

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, We Expect From You

• At least 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage and with minimum 2 years experience at supervisory level. Experience in 5-star hotel is highly preferred
• Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
• Strong leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
