Job summary

Chong Hing Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee Remittance and Transactional Services, steering end-to-end processing for retail and corporate clients in a dynamic Hong Kong environment.

You will manage cross-functional teams, drive centralization initiatives, and ensure BAU stability while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Strong communication in English and Putonghua is required.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Business Administration or related disciplines.
• 8-10 years’ experience in back-office operations and retail banking with at least 3 years in supervisory level.
• Solid experience in remittance, payment operations, branch operations, etc.
• Exposure in project management, especially in leading payment and functional projects.
• Strong self-motivation with ability to work under pressure, good communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical and with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Remittance and Transactional Services teams handling end-to-end processing for retail and corporate clients.
• Lead centralisation projects while preserving BAU stability across services.
• Ensure daily operations run efficiently with strict adherence to policies, compliance, and regulations.
• Manage time-critical transactions (remittances, fund transfers, time deposits, FX) and resolve complex operational issues.
• Draft and update departmental procedures, guidelines and policies.
• Oversee MIS and reporting, budgeting, AML and regulatory submissions.
• Drive strategic initiatives to centralize operations, improving processing efficiency and customer experience.
• Take on additional projects to support the bank's goals.

• Manage time-critical and high-value transactions, including remittances, fund transfers, time deposit, and foreign exchange (FX), etc., while resolving complex operational issues and customer instructions.

• Formulate, review, and update departmental procedure manuals, guidelines and policy.

• Manage MIS and the compilation of various reports, budgeting, AML and related regulatory reporting.

• Champion key strategic initiatives to centralize operations, aiming to enhance processing efficiency and customer experience.

• Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as required to support the bank’s operational goals.
