Job summary

Charterhouse Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Trade Services Operations in Hong Kong. The Team Head of Trade Services will guide end-to-end trade finance processing, supplier and client relations, and regulatory compliance while driving digital transformation and system migration.

The role requires deep trade finance expertise, a strong risk mindset, and a track record of delivering operational improvements within a large banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of trade finance operations experience in Banking is a MUST.
• At least 5 years of team management experience.
• CDCS highly preferred; HKIB qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICC rules: UCP600, ISBP, URR725, URC522.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Trade Services team, ensuring accurate, timely processing of trade finance transactions.
• Oversee Import/Export Letters of Credit, Collections, Documentary Credits, Trade Financing, Settlements, Amendments, Guarantees; related activities.
• Drive operational excellence through coaching, mentoring, and process improvements.
• Lead core banking system migration projects and digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage outsourcing arrangements and offshore processing teams; establish service standards and quality controls.
• Ensure robust risk controls and regulatory compliance across trade finance activities.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product, Compliance, Technology, Operations and senior management.
