Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is seeking a Head of Trade Services for a major corporate bank in Hong Kong. You will lead the trade services department, overseeing day-to-day operations, risk controls, and the transition to new core banking systems and digital platforms.

You will drive process improvements, maintain strong client and cross-functional collaboration, and ensure adherence to UCP, ISBP, URR725, URC522, and AML standards. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.

Qualifications

• Leader with ability to coach and drive high performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Experience in digital transformation and core banking migrations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the trade services team to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Lead process improvement initiatives including BPR and adoption of digital tools.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, AML, ISBP, URR725, URC522 and external audits.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, product teams, and clients to provide operational support and explore business opportunities.
• Manage relationships with outsourcing partners and monitor risk controls and performance.
