The ideal candidate has 15+ years in logistics, in-house operations, and strong leadership with a track record in freight negotiations and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in logistics, shipping or supply chain operations management.
• In-house shipment operation experience is a must.
• Proven experience managing a sizable logistics/shipping team.
• Strong hands-on experience in international sea freight and export operations.
• Solid experience in freight cost negotiation and third-party logistics provider management.
• Proven track record in process improvement and operational transformation.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in hard goods such as sundries, toys, home decoration or related consumer products is an advantage.
• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related discipline preferred.

Our client is a reputable trading company and is for an experienced Head of Logistics to lead a team of 20+ and oversee the company’s end-to-end export shipment operations. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, freight cost management, process improvement and supply chain transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a logistics/shipping team of 20+ staff.

Oversee end-to-end export shipment operations, with a strong focus on international sea freight.

Manage freight planning, shipment execution, documentation and delivery coordination.

Lead freight cost negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders and other third-party service providers.

Drive process improvement, operational efficiency and supply chain transformation initiatives.
