Job summary

Pure Hong Kong is seeking a Head of Implementation for a leading bank in Hong Kong to oversee end-to-end delivery across institutional and corporate client portfolios. The role focuses on reducing time-to-revenue and improving straight-through processing across Cash Management, API connectivity, Trade Finance, and Securities.

You will own project management for onboarding, define the target operating model, and act as the client-facing implementation lead.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in transaction banking, corporate banking or payments with senior implementation experience.
• Proven track record delivering multi-product onboarding across complex platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage escalation to protect go-live timelines.
• Client-facing credibility with pre-sales and post-sales delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation for onboarding and delivery across product verticals.
• Define and drive operating model for implementation including governance and processes.
• Act as primary escalation point for delivery risk and ensure on-time go-lives.
• Improve onboarding time-to-revenue and uplift STP rates.
• Lead client interactions during pre-sales and post-sales implementation as client-facing lead.
• Identify upsell opportunities during onboarding to drive platform adoption.

Job description

Our client, a leading bank in Hong Kong, is seeking a Head of Implementation to lead end-to-end delivery across its institutional and corporate client portfolios. He/She is responsible for driving operational excellence by significantly reducing the average time-to-revenue for new clients, while increasing measurable straight-through-processing rates across key product verticals, including Cash Management, API connectivity, Trade Finance, and Securities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project management for client onboarding and implementation across Cash Management, API Connectivity. Trade Finance, Securities businesses
• Define and drive the target operating model for implementation (process, governance, roles, and delivery approach).
• Act as the primary escalation point for implementation risk, including: resourcing conflicts, client readiness gaps, technical defects, and drive timely resolution to protect go-live timelines.
• Improve delivery performance to achieve: reduction in onboarding time-to-revenue, measurable uplift in STP rates
• Be involved with pre-sales pitching and post-sales implementation, serving as the client-facing implementation lead (including platform implementation and client-side readiness/requirements).
• Use deep implementation experience to identify/innovate new sales opportunities during onboarding, leveraging client interactions to expand platform adoption.

Requirements

• Cantonese is Mandatory
• Over 12+ years in transaction banking, corporate banking, trade finance, payments or securities, with senior-level experience in either client implementation delivery or fintech/platform partnership origination
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder system integrations
• Strong project/implementation leadership experience across multi-product onboarding.
• Proven ability to manage escalation, resolve delivery risks, and ensure implementation on time.
• Solid experience in pre-sales engagement + post-sales delivery, with client-facing credibility.
