Job summary

Eight CM Limited is seeking a Head of Frontend Development to lead our web and mobile engineering, setting the frontend strategy, architecture, and delivery roadmap while mentoring a high-performing team.

You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Compliance, and Security to deliver fast, secure, and intuitive customer experiences. The leadership role offers significant influence over technology and product direction in a growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend and/or mobile engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, managing engineers or engineering leads.
• Proven experience building and scaling production web and mobile applications.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with React Native; experience with native iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin is a plus.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, design systems, performance optimization, and accessibility.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and production release processes.
• Good understanding of application security, secure authentication, encryption, and secure mobile storage.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and architecture for web and mobile platforms.
• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing frontend and mobile engineering team.
• Own the frontend/mobile roadmap and ensure high-quality, predictable delivery.
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, accessibility, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Lead CI/CD and release processes across web, iOS, and Android.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to turn ideas into polished customer experiences.
• Work with Backend/API teams to ensure effective architecture, APIs, performance, and data flows.
• Champion secure development practices for financial applications, including authentication, MFA, biometrics, tokenization, and secure data handling.
• Manage technical debt and continuously improve platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Communicate roadmap progress, technical risks, team performance, and resourcing needs to senior leadership.

About you
