Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a VP-level Full Stack Engineer to join a global financial technology team building and modernising a business-critical front office platform. The role partners with trading and operations to deliver scalable, cloud-native services across the full tech stack in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive platform modernisation, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor engineers while ensuring reliability, performance, and security in a high-stakes setting.

Qualifications

• Hinge on strong understanding of financial markets and front-office trading environments.

• Familiar with securities financing and stock lending workflows including trade booking and settlements.

Required Experience

• Strong understanding of financial markets and front-office trading environments

• Familiar with securities financing and stock lending workflows, including trade booking, recalls, returns, collateral, lifecycle processing, and settlements.
• Experienced in cloud-native development, containerisation, Linux, Git, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, object-oriented design, refactoring, and maintainable code development.
• Experienced with Agile/Scrum, automated testing, and test-driven development.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with experience resolving complex production and technical issues.
• Effective communicator who can translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership and shape platform modernisation strategy.
