Job description

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our Mobile team and drive high‑quality product delivery across iOS and Android. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of mobile engineers, set technical direction, and work closely with cross‑functional partners to ship features that serve millions of users globally. We are actively embedding AI into how our teams build and operate and we're looking for a leader who embraces that shift and brings others along with them.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, mentor, and develop a mobile engineering team, driving ownership and accountability across project milestones.
• Provide hands‑on technical guidance on mobile development, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the team - from code generation and review to testing and incident analysis with a goal to raise the quality and velocity of delivery.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of mobile features and initiatives, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and other stakeholders to align on goals and execute effectively.
• Serve as the go‑to technical expert for complex mobile challenges, maintaining the robustness and scalability of our applications.

What We Look For In You

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a team lead or management role.
• Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, with strong judgement and a high level of drive.
• Solid technical expertise in iOS or Android development, with a good understanding of the broader mobile ecosystem.
• Actively uses AI tools in your engineering workflow - you don't just know about them, you've integrated them into how you and your team work.
• Strong communicator who can align cross‑functional teams and work effectively across stakeholders at different levels.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sound technical and product decisions in a fast‑paced environment.

Nice‑To‑Haves

• Experience shipping AI‑powered features in a mobile product - personalisation, intelligent search, on‑device inference, or similar.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high‑scale consumer app environments.
• Familiarity with mobile performance optimisation at scale.
