Job summary

Manulife is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve the enterprise AI Platform, defining strategy, roadmap, and target-state architecture across AI infrastructure, governance, and operations.

You will partner with business, technology, and data leaders to implement scalable, secure platform services, drive MLOps/LLMOps, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role targets performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while enabling rapid AI solution development across domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS, SE, IS, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in AI, ML, software/platform engineering.
• 5+ years leading technical teams, platforms, or engineering organizations.
• Proven enterprise-scale AI and cloud platform experience.
• Experience leading enterprise architecture, platform engineering, MLOps/LLMOps.
• Experience implementing AI governance in regulated industries.
• Financial services or insurance experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise AI Platform strategy, roadmap, and target-state architecture.
• Define and evolve AI capabilities, standards, and operating model.
• Establish platform capabilities enabling rapid, secure, reusable AI development.
• Partner with business, Technology, and Data leaders to understand AI requirements.
• Develop a multi-year roadmap for AI infrastructure, governance, and developer experience.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and define adoption strategies.
• Own design, delivery, operation, and enhancement of the enterprise AI Platform.
• Lead core capabilities: AI Gateway, LLM Platform, Agentic AI Framework, and more.
• Establish reusable platform services to minimize duplication.
• Drive platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Ensure AI platform services meet enterprise availability and operational requirements.
