Job summary

One Advisors, Hong Kong Island, seeks a Head of Engineering to lead a 20-engineer team overseeing facilities management, repairs and annual capital projects for a prestigious private club.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will direct all engineering and maintenance operations, manage budgets and contractors, ensure safety standards, and drive renovations and energy initiatives across dining, sports and member facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct all engineering and maintenance operations across Club facilities.
• Oversee building services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire services and amenities.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and energy management programs.
• Plan and execute capital projects for facilities and amenities.
• Manage contractors, consultants, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain statutory and safety standards while driving sustainability and asset enhancement initiatives.

We are partnering with a prestigious private club to assist their hiring for a Head of Engineering role, which this headcount is created due to replacement of an internal transfer. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead a team of 20 engineers to oversee the facilities management, conduct regular repair and maintenance as well as to drive projects on new annual initiatives (i.e. delivery of new facilities, renovation, etc).

What you will do

• Department Leadership: Direct all engineering and maintenance operations across all Club facilities.
• Systems Management: Oversee building services, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire services and amenities.
• Maintenance & Energy: Implement preventive maintenance schedules and energy management programs.
• Renovation & Upgrades: Plan and execute capital projects for member, dining and sports facilities.
• Vendor & Budget Control: Manage contractors, consultants, and budgets to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
• Compliance & Strategy: Maintain statutory and safety standards while driving sustainability and asset enhancement initiatives.

What you will bring

• Education: Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in engineering management, ideally within private clubs, hospitality, resorts, or large-scale facilities.
• Track Record: Proven experience leading renovation, upgrading and capital improvement projects.
• Core Competencies: Strong leadership, project management, budgeting and stakeholder management skills.
• Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
