Job summary

Naxos Group Limited seeks an experienced Head Bartender / Bar Manager to lead a narrative-driven cocktail program at a private members venue in Hong Kong. You will curate seasonal menus, design rituals and glassware, and train a 3+ bartender team while coordinating with design and operations for events and collaborations.

The role requires 5+ years in cocktail bars with at least 2 years in management, Cantonese and English fluency, and a strong signature portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years cocktail bar experience, including minimum 2 years at management level (Head Bartender / Bar Manager / Beverage Manager acceptable)
• Signature portfolio: personally designed menus or signature drinks with attribution evidence (printed menus, press, social media documentation)
• Team leadership: directly managed at least 3 Bartenders
• Fluent in classic cocktails with solid spirit knowledge (whisky / gin / rum / agave / mezcal / liqueur)
• Fluent Cantonese, professional English (members converse in both)
• Legal right to work in Hong Kong
• Familiarity with Aegean / Mediterranean spirits (Ouzo, Metaxa, Mastiha, Tsipouro, Retsina)
• Sommelier training or wine knowledge
• Experience with narrative-driven bars (story, not just technique)
• Personal IG / portfolio showcasing past work

Responsibilities

• Curate 8–12 drinks per quarterly opening menu
• Collaborate with Brand Designer on glassware and visuals
• Lead the bar training curriculum during onboarding
• Plan weekly team meetings and performance reviews
• Roster and staff interviews; manage last-minute staffing needs
• Oversee bar supply chain: ordering, inventory, maintenance
• Coordinate with Operations Manager on bar-floor rhythm and events
• Collaborate with Brand Designer for menu print and collateral
• Work with Founder on monthly bar business reviews and direction
