Job summary

CPJobs International invites an experienced academic leader to head the Languages and General Studies Division. You will drive strategic planning, resource deployment, and long‑term sustainability in alignment with the institution’s mission.

You will supervise teaching, curriculum development and programme quality assurance, liaise with internal and external partners, and advance networks for programme development while fulfilling teaching duties as needed.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
Hands‑on leadership experience with programme management and external accreditation is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

To lead the Division in providing academic leadership in Languages and General Studies programmes.
To provide strategic planning and develop resource deployment strategies to support the effective operation and long‑term sustainability of the discipline, in alignment with the Institution’s mission and objectives

To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to contribute for Division‑wide and institutional initiatives

To perform other duties assigned by supervisors

Job description

Responsibilities:

To lead the Division in providing academic leadership in Languages and General Studies programmes
To provide strategic planning and develop resource deployment strategies to support the effective operation and long‑term sustainability of the discipline, in alignment with the Institution’s mission and objectives
To steer and supervise the academic team for quality teaching, curriculum development and programme quality assurance
To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to contribute for Division‑wide and institutional initiatives
To explore and forge the academic and professional networks for programme development and discipline advancement
To undertake teaching duties and supervise student projects where necessary
To perform other duties assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
At least 8 years’ working experience, of which 4 years’ relevant experience and, preferably with experience in programme management and external accreditation
Hands‑on experience in the management of Diploma of Applied Education programmes is preferred
Demonstrable strong leadership and people‑management skills, with agility and resilience in an ever‑changing environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Head of Division
