Job summary

The Royal Garden Kowloon East invites an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, elevate guest experiences through storytelling, and mentor a high-performing service team at Tseung Kwan O.

You will drive upselling, ensure SOPs, monitor costs, and collaborate with hotel operations. Fluent in Cantonese and English, with Mandarin a plus; a Diploma or equivalent and at least six years in F&B supervisory roles are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant F&B experience, including supervisory experience in restaurant or hotel operation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, guest service oriented, with good command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and team-motivating abilities.

Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement & Storytelling: Create memorable dining experiences by sharing authentic stories about dishes, wines, and culinary philosophy.
• Build rapport with guests to foster brand loyalty, drive repeat visits, and handle feedback or issues promptly during service and events.
• Drive upselling initiatives across all food and beverage categories to exceed revenue targets.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on upselling techniques and operational best practices, tracking performance through KPIs.
• Coordinate day-to-day restaurant workflows to ensure smooth service, high guest satisfaction, and optimized profitability.
• Enforce SOPs and monitor food and beverage usage to minimize wastage.
• Anticipate changing market demands and trends, recommending operational adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
