Job summary

Design Trust, an initiative of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design, is a grant funding and community platform supporting creative projects in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. We welcome fresh graduates, juniors and interns with flexible roles based on experience.

We seek a Graphic & Communication Designer to create publicity content, support marketing across our website and social channels, and coordinate events including flagship initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in Graphic/Communication Design or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in communication design or related area; internships welcome.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office; ability to integrate digital tools and AI into workflows.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Graphic & Communication Design: research, design, and produce publicity content and social media assets.
• Project & Event Coordination: support design proposals, events, and exhibitions with stakeholders.
• Research & Archiving: assist in concept research, prepare decks, and systematically archive materials.

Design Trust, an initiative of the local registered charity Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design, is a grant funding and community platform supporting creative projects that develop expertise, build research initiatives and content related to Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

We also warmly welcome applications from fresh graduates, junior candidates, and prospective interns, with flexibility to adjust the roles and responsibilities based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Graphic & Communication Design: Research, design, and produce publicity content, publications, exhibition collateral, social media assets, and digital marketing materials. Support the execution of marketing and PR strategies across Design Trust's website and social platforms.
• Project & Event Coordination: Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless development and production of design proposals and physical deliverables. Support meetings, workshops, site inspections, and events for flagship initiatives including Design Trust Futures Studio and Grants Programmes.
• Research & Archiving: Participate in early-stage concept research for design and cultural research projects. Prepare presentation decks, proposals, and reports, while systematically archiving design processes and project materials.

Requirements

• University degree in Graphic/Communication Design, Visual Arts, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in communication design, architecture and design education preferred; passionate fresh graduates, junior candidates and prospective interns with strong design portfolios are highly encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and video editing tools) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Technologically adept and enthusiastic about incorporating emerging digital and AI tools into workflows.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, and openness to develop knowledge and skills in different disciplines related to design culture.

The Appointee shall report to the Executive Director, or the Executive Director’s designated representative from the organization.

This position is a full time long term position and to commence as soon as possible.
