Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited is seeking a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) to lead the development of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production. The role requires close customer engagement to define the Scope of Work and to guide engineers for high-quality designs.

Based at our HQ in Ang Mo Kio, you will design plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts, and electro-mechanical subsystems, coordinating prototypes and vendor reviews while driving

Qualifications

• Masters or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge in mechanism or automation design preferred.
• Knowledge of plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver state-of-the-art mechanical products from invention to mass production.
• Engage with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Supervise and guide engineers for quality design.
• Design mechanical parts including plastics, sheet metal and rubber.
• Design electro-mechanical subsystems and micro mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and suppliers throughout the product cycle.

We’re looking to add aPrincipal Engineer, R&D(Mechanical)inSingapore. The position is based in ourHQatAngMo Kio.

As a Principal Engineer, R&D(Mechanical), you will be:

Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.

• To engage positively and closely with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Provide supervision and guidance to fellow Engineers for better quality design.
• Perform mechanical parts design, including plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts.
• Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro mechanism and transmission systems.
• Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as and when required.
• Troubleshoot, analyst and provide solutions for technical problems faced during development.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred
• Knowledge and design experience in plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts will be advantageous
