Job summary

Cathay United Bank Company, Limited is seeking a Senior Specialist in Global Markets Operations to support daily operations and participate in projects and UAT. The role involves preparing and updating SOPs and coordinating with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in back office operations within a financial institution, with knowledge of settlement cycles and market systems. Proficiency in English with Mandarin/Cantonese would be advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant back office operations experience in a financial institution.
Knowledge of the full settlement cycle of capital markets products and private banking products.
Strong teamwork, communication and organizational skills.
Experience with market systems such as SWIFT, RTGS, Creation-Online, Summit and MFEX is preferable.
Proficiency in English; Mandarin and Cantonese skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide day‑to‑day support and participate in related projects and UAT.
Prepare, review and update SOPs.
Suggest practical improvements to enhance workflow and reduce operational risks.
Coordinate with other departments and head office on various issues.
Assist with account documentation and reporting (including internal and regulatory reports).
