Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Graduate HR Generalist to support our AMER region from a remote location. You will answer questions about employment, manage onboarding, and maintain HRIS data while partnering with managers and executives to advance our people strategy.

You should have outstanding communication, the ability to work independently, and a track record of achievement from school. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, and willingness to travel up to four times a year.

Qualifications

• Track record of exceptional achievement from high school and graduate studies.
• Internship experience in HR/People teams is beneficial, preferably in technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize complex workloads, manage time effectively and work well under pressure.
• Self-motivated and results-orientated with a focus on accuracy.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and ability to handle confidential data.
• Flexible attitude and adaptability to change.
• Willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support by answering team members’ questions and responding to requests regarding their employment and contracts.
• Maintain HRIS with high accuracy and timely processing of changes and new joiners.
• Own global projects such as engagement, training or culture initiatives.
• Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and drive people strategy.
• Work as a global partner to leads, managers and executives.
• Process new hires including country-specific onboarding documentation and system setup.
• Provide benefits enrollment support and ensure timely payroll data.
• Liaise with payroll to guarantee smooth salary payments.
• Conduct regular audits of employment files to ensure GDPR compliance.
• Continuously improve HR processes to drive the function forward.
