Job summary

E-Frontiers is seeking a Datacentre Operations Engineer in Hong Kong to install, maintain and troubleshoot datacentre hardware, cabling, servers and network equipment. The role requires hands-on rack mounting, extensive coordination with vendors, and independent project management in a fast-paced financial technology environment.

You will build out datacentre infrastructure, manage power and cooling, and support global projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a datacentre or critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling and power-distribution models.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting managed CDUs.
• Hands-on server and network-device rack mounting and cabling experience.
• Experience coordinating datacentre vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Chinese-language capability is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build, install and maintain datacentre infrastructure, including rack space, structured cabling, cooling and power.
• Rack, cable and deploy servers and network equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and power-related issues.
• Manage hardware inventory and equipment records.
• Work with managed CDUs, including ServerTech, Avocent or APC technologies.
• Coordinate third-party datacentre vendors and service providers.
• Support infrastructure installations, upgrades and wider technical projects.
• Manage assigned projects and workload independently to a high professional standard.
