Originally established as Galerie du Monde, gdm represents more than twenty artists, supporting a diverse roster across different stages of their careers while fostering an international outlook. Marking its 50th anniversary (1974-2024), gdm expanded with the opening of a new gallery space in Taipei in 2024.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Hong Kong team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the gallery's daily operations, exhibitions, publications, and art fair activities. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts or a related field, has at least two years of relevant professional experience, and demonstrates a strong interest in contemporary art. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in the production of artist and exhibition materials, including catalogues, press releases, and social media content.
Support the preparation and execution of art fairs, exhibitions, and special projects.
Coordinate gallery viewings, artwork installations, and exhibition logistics, and prepare presentation and sales materials.
Assist with website updates, social media management, and day-to-day administrative operations.
Coordinate with shipping agents and service providers on logistics, including shipping documentation, insurance arrangements, packing requirements, and delivery tracking.
Provide a high standard of hospitality and ensure a welcoming experience for visitors, collectors, artists, and partners.
Provide general administrative support and assist with ad hoc projects as required.
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Art History, Humanities, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in galleries, museums, cultural institutions, or related fields.
Strong interest in contemporary art and knowledge of current artistic practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
