Robert Half Hong Kong Limited seeks a Fund Operation Director to lead hedge fund middle- and back-office activities, including trade support, NAV oversight, and risk controls. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, prime brokerage, or asset management operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing operations teams within a hedge fund or alternative investment environment.
• Extensive knowledge of hedge fund products and strategies, including Long/Short Equity, Global Macro, Fixed Income, Multi-Strategy, and Derivatives.
• Experience working with prime brokers, fund administrators, custodians, and external service providers.
• Strong project management and process improvement capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead hedge fund middle-office and back-office functions including trade support, trade settlement, cash and position reconciliations, corporate actions, collateral management, and NAV oversight.
• Manage relationships with prime brokers, fund administrators, custodians, auditors, legal counsel, and other external service providers to ensure efficient operational support and service delivery.
• Establish and enhance operational processes, controls, and infrastructure to support growth, new fund launches, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily operational risk management, resolving trade breaks, settlement issues, valuation discrepancies, and incidents.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology to ensure seamless front-to-back investment operations.
• Monitor fund liquidity, financing, margins, and collateral movements across counterparties and asset classes.
• Drive operational efficiency through process automation, system enhancements, workflow optimization, and vendor management.
• Ensure accurate oversight of fund accounting processes, including NAV production, portfolio valuation, investor reporting, and financial statements by fund administrators.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, establishing performance standards and supporting talent development.

The Role

• Lead and oversee all middle-office and back-office functions, including trade support, trade settlement, cash and position reconciliations, corporate actions, collateral management, and NAV oversight.
• Manage relationships with prime brokers, fund administrators, custodians, auditors, legal counsel, and other external service providers to ensure efficient operational support and service delivery.
• Establish and enhance operational processes, controls, and infrastructure to support business growth, new fund launches, new investment strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily operational risk management, ensuring timely resolution of trade breaks, settlement issues, valuation discrepancies, and operational incidents.
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure seamless front-to-back investment operations.
• Monitor fund liquidity, financing activities, margin requirements, and collateral movements across multiple counterparties and asset classes.
• Drive operational efficiency through process automation, system enhancements, workflow optimization, and vendor management initiatives.
• Ensure accurate oversight of fund accounting processes, including NAV production, portfolio valuation, investor reporting, and financial statement preparation performed by fund administrators.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.

Your Profile
