Job summary

Omni Group Asia Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Manager- FP&A to drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. You will build and analyze monthly management reports, dashboards, and variance analyses to reveal key performance drivers across the insurance/consultancy sectors.

The role collaborates with accounting and business teams, develops robust financial models, and supports strategic decision-making. Strong Excel, ERP, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Experience in FP&A, management reporting, or accounting.
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial statements understanding.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• IFRS 17 experience or exposure is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting/planning tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budget, periodic forecast, and long-range planning processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reports and business performance dashboards.
• Perform variance analysis on actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Partner with accounting and business teams to understand financial results and key performance drivers.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for planning and decision-making.
• Support expense analysis, revenue analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Ensure alignment between financial planning, reporting, and accounting data.
• Contribute to process improvements in reporting, planning, and analysis.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and presentations for management.
• Work closely with the finance team on regulatory and financial reporting matters where needed.
• Assist with interpretation and impact assessment of IFRS 17, where applicable.
