JD.com is seeking a highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our extensive vehicle fleet, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery services across our network.

You will develop and implement strategic plans for fleet acquisition, maintenance, and disposal, while managing contracts, vendors, and internal teams to maximize uptime and minimize costs in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce or logistics operation.
  • Proven track record of managing a diverse fleet of vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, motorcycles).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and automotive systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Experience with fleet management software (e.g., telematics, GPS tracking, maintenance scheduling).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet acquisition, maintenance, and disposal, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of all fleet vehicles, including procurement, registration, insurance, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Establish and enforce preventative maintenance schedules and repair programs to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and driver performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and industry-specific transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for vehicle purchases, parts, maintenance, and fuel.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of fleet drivers and support staff.
  • Utilize fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to optimize routes, track assets, and generate performance reports.
  • Prepare and manage the fleet budget, analyzing expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement and manage safety protocols and training programs for drivers to minimize accidents and ensure compliance.
