Job summary

Finbot Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an AI Research Engineer to join our R&D team. You will lead applied research for two workstreams: an external client-facing AI RM chatbot and an internal commission calculation chatbot.

You should have a solid ML/NLP background, interest in fintech, and a strong eye for detail with thorough documentation. The project is ITF RTH-SPC funded and focuses on explainable AI and robust auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance or related STEM field.
• Solid foundation in machine learning and natural language processing.
• Interest in fintech, behavioural analysis and explainable AI.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and documentation habits.
• Hong Kong permanent resident or valid visa for full-time employment in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applied research for two workstreams: External AI RM Chatbot and Internal AI Commission Calculation Chatbot.
• Develop test datasets, run experiments and document results with explanations.
• Maintain technical documentation, data/model records and audit-related design specs.
• Present findings to management and business teams.
