Job summary

Finbot Limited is seeking a Blockchain Researcher in Hong Kong to develop a tokenisation platform for insurance premium financing as part of a 3-year ITF-funded R&D project. You will explore tokenisation models, design smart contracts, and build interfaces with insurance, payment, and accounting systems.

The role requires strong blockchain knowledge, API and wallet integration skills, and experience in financial services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, FinTech, Finance or IS.
Strong understanding of blockchain, distributed ledger tech, and smart contracts.
Knowledge of token standards, APIs, wallet integration, and smart-contract security.
Experience in insurance, lending, premium financing or financial services is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Hong Kong permanent resident or valid work visa for HK.

Responsibilities

Research tokenisation models for premium financing agreements and related cash-flow rights.
Design smart contracts for token issuance, premium payment, repayment schedules, interest calculation, and redemption.
Develop APIs to integrate blockchain workflows with insurance, payment, and accounting systems.
Implement privacy, access-control, audit-trail, and transaction-monitoring mechanisms.
Build prototypes and test cases covering cancellations, early repayment, missed payments, refinancing, and exceptions.
Evaluate alternative blockchain architectures, token standards, and settlement mechanisms.
Document research findings, technical specifications, risks, limitations and test results.
Present prototypes and findings to management and business stakeholders.
