Job summary

Asia Insurance is seeking a Financial Reporting – Supervisor/Accountant to lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and support regulatory reporting in Hong Kong. The role collaborates with senior stakeholders to drive performance insights and ensure regulatory compliance across HKFRS 17 and Pillar III frameworks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of insurance accounting/auditing experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with core accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• HKICPA qualification (or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in insurance auditing or accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of HKFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC Pillar III reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in HKFRS 17 month-end closing processes, including data validation and automation optimization.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to HKRBC Pillar III reporting and financial information submissions under HKIO requirements.
• Support group consolidation and conduct in-depth financial analysis on equity investments.
• Prepare high-quality internal management reports, external statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate effectively with external auditors during interim reviews and annual audits.
• Support annual budgeting, capital planning, solvency monitoring, and liquidity management.
• Deliver insightful managerial reports, financial analysis, business performance reviews, and professional board dashboards.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects, system enhancements, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
