Grantit is seeking a Finance & Accounting lead in Hong Kong to bridge historical accuracy with strategic financial planning. The role combines accounting responsibilities—close, tax compliance, audit management—with forward-looking finance duties including cash flow management and executive reporting.

The candidate will own the closing cycles, manage tax filings, and act as the liaison with auditors and banks while building budgets and forecasts to inform strategic hiring and operations.

Qualifications

• CPA/ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 4–8 years of combined experience in public accounting and in-house corporate finance.
• Proficiency with cloud and AI accounting software and advanced financial modelling in Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsabilités

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes with accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and manage corporate tax filings, statutory compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
• Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure proper revenue recognition and expense classification.
• Review AP/AR workflows and expense reimbursements.
• Build and maintain budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget).
• Monitor liquidity, track burn rates, and model cash runway scenarios for hiring and operations.
• Translate financial data into executive dashboards, board decks, and CEO decision frameworks.

A Finance & Accounting lead bridges historical accuracy with strategic planning. This role combines accounting responsibilities focused on financial close, tax compliance, and audit management with forward‑looking finance responsibilities including financial planning, cash flow management, and executive reporting.

Key responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process; prepare accurate Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

Prepare and manage corporate tax filings, statutory compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banks

Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure proper revenue recognition and expense classification

Review AP/AR workflows and expense reimbursements

Build and maintain departmental budgets, rolling financial forecasts, and variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget)

Monitor daily/monthly liquidity, track burn rates, and model cash runway scenarios to support hiring and operational decisions

Translate complex financial data into concise executive dashboards, board meeting decks, and CEO decision frameworks

About you

Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification

4–8 years of combined experience in public accounting and in-house corporate finance

Proficiency with cloud and AI accounting software and advanced financial modelling in Excel/Google Sheets
