Job summary

The Construction Industry Council - Hong Kong Institute of Construction is seeking an Assistant Manager (Event and Social Media Management) to lead a range of educational and promotional activities in Hong Kong. You will plan and execute events, supervise staff, and oversee social media campaigns to raise the Institute’s profile.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised university degree in event management or marketing, with at least seven years of post-qualification experience, strong English

Qualifications

• University degree in event management, marketing or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in event management.
• Knowledge of construction industry and network with schools/NGOs.
• Experience using AI tools or creative software.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing; bilingual English/Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a wide range of events to boost HKIC exposure.
• Lead subordinates to implement plans with clear direction.
• Manage event budgets and provide regular reports.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to identify improvements.
• Oversee social media management and promotion.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
