Job summary

Global Fund House in Hong Kong seeks a Product Development Manager/AVP to own ETFs end-to-end and drive market-ready launches. You’ll shape the product journey from concept through go-live and ensure ongoing maintenance while collaborating with senior decision-makers.

You will monitor market dynamics, regulatory shifts, and competitive activity across HK and mainland China, and translate data into actionable insights for planning and strategy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ETF product knowledge, specifically HK-domiciled ETFs.
• Experience at an ETF issuer.
• 6–12 years in asset management.
• Confident communicator and organised project manager across multiple workstreams.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Own ETFs through full lifecycle from build to launch to day-to-day upkeep.
• Steer new launches from start to finish with business cases for sign-off.
• Contribute to product management and forward planning.
• Pressure-test new strategy before progress.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts and competitor activity across HK/ Mainland.
• Partner with teams to move product and marketing work forward.

A leading global fund house is looking to add a Product Development Manager / AVP to its ETF team in Hong Kong. It’s a genuinely broad brief with ownership across the whole product journey, plus regular exposure to senior decision-makers.

About the opportunity

This role puts you at the heart of how ETFs get built and brought to market. You’ll help decide what’s worth launching, see products through from concept to go-live, and keep the existing range running smoothly, all while contributing to the wider product and planning agenda. It’s a strong fit for someone who likes moving between the fine detail and the strategic view.

Your focus

• Own ETFs through their full lifecycle, from build to launch to day-to-day upkeep
• Steer new launches from start to finish, preparing offering documentation and the business cases needed to win internal sign-off
• Contribute to product management and forward business planning
• Pressure-test new strategy and product ideas before they progress
• Keep a close read on the market: where money is flowing, what competitors are bringing out across Hong Kong and the mainland, and how the regulatory picture is shifting
• Partner with teams across the firm to move product and marketing work forward
• Build out product intelligence, turning data into research that helps senior leaders decide

What we’re after

• Hands-on ETF product knowledge is essential, specifically experience developing and maintaining Hong Kong-domiciled ETFs
• A background gained at an ETF issuer
• 6 to 12 years in asset management
• Confident communicator and organised project manager, comfortable running several workstreams against tight timelines
• A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves team player
• Full working fluency (spoken and written) in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
