Job summary

Our client in Hong Kong is a technology service provider partnering with a leading regional securities firm to modernize its internal trading systems. The role focuses on design, development, and testing of in-house systems, with documentation and cross-functional collaboration across IT, DBAs and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of equity trading business processes and middle-office/back-office operations.
• Hands-on experience in C# or Java development, Linux administration, Shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL.
• Exposure to SSIS, Python, Omgeo CTM, AWS Cloud, Gloss, Ullink, or Fidessa would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop in-house systems, and plan and execute unit, functional, and integration testing in accordance with defined functional requirements.
• Prepare and maintain development documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and test results.
• Perform system analysis, development, testing, and implementation for new and enhanced applications.
• Collaborate with first-line support teams to provide second-line support, and work closely with internal IT teams to analyze, track, and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for potential system solutions, and present clear recommendations for business consideration.
• Provide early-shift support when required.
