Job summary

Ambition in Hong Kong is seeking a business-facing analyst to bridge trading, research, and technology teams, delivering and enhancing equity trading systems across international markets.

You will engage with front office, middle office, and research users to gather requirements, translate them into clear specifications, support testing, and monitor performance. Strong communication in English and Chinese and hands-on knowledge of OMS/EMS and FIX are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of front office equity trading systems experience (OMS/EMS) and exchange connectivity.
• Knowledge of equity trading workflows in Asia markets; hands-on trading support is advantageous.
• Familiar with Excel, SQL, Linux, and FIX protocol.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Relevant experience in investment banking or securities trading environments supporting equity trading apps.

Responsibilities

• Support front office project initiatives to design and implement solutions for global equity trading and research platforms
• Engage with front office, middle office, and research users to gather requirements and translate them into clear documentation
• Analyze business needs and propose high-level solutions for system enhancements and implementations
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical design
• Identify, track, and elevate risks and issues to the project manager in a timely manner
• Monitor and report on business performance, identifying trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Assist in test case preparation and conduct reviews to ensure quality and completeness
• Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with business users and resolving gaps between requirements and delivered solutions
• Provide regular updates on project progress and key issues to project stakeholders and senior management
