Job summary

Pinpoint Asia partners with a leading global financial services firm to hire an Equity Systems Developer / Technical BA for the Hong Kong office. The role blends hands-on development with business analysis, focusing on middle-office interfaces and data integration across trading and research teams.

You will own static data systems (Bloomberg/Reuters), SQL Server databases, and Excel-driven tools, while providing second-line technical support, feasibility assessments, and automation of deployment

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in SQL and VBA.
• Developer: comfortable with databases, SSIS, Linux batch jobs.
• BA: understands system architectures and can write complex SQL queries.
• 3+ years in investment banking or securities trading.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interfaces connecting middle-office systems and back-office applications.
• Own static data systems (Bloomberg/Reuters) and SQL Server databases.
• Act as technical point of contact providing second-line support.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new system enhancements and present to the business.
• Automate deployment processes and collaborate with regional IT changes.
