Job summary

Emperor Entertainment (Hong Kong) Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Lead IT Business Analyst to drive requirements analysis and solution definition for equities/OTC trading technology initiatives. You will translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications and lead end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams.

The role requires 8–12 years of front-office tech experience in investment banking or capital markets, with strong OTC, equity, and commodities options

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in technology projects delivery, within investment banking or capital markets.
• Proven experience delivering complex front-office technology initiatives and enhancing enterprise trading platforms.
• Understanding of OTC derivatives, Equity and trading systems, preferably Commodities Options will be preferrable
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, enterprise application architecture, software design principles, APIs, messaging frameworks, and event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, release management, testing frameworks, and modern delivery practices.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with the ability to perform technical investigations, impact assessments, and root cause analysis of complex issues.
• Experience working with pricing, risk management, market data, trade lifecycle, and post- trade systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Calypso or similar capital markets platforms is a strong advantage.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on solution design, technical reviews, implementation approaches, platform modernization, and automation initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis and solution definition for Commodities Options technology initiatives.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and system specifications.
• Drive end-to-end technology delivery across multiple workstreams and system components.
• Own functional and technical design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform impact analysis across trading, risk, market data, pricing, and post-trade systems.
• Act as the subject matter expert for platform functionality, workflows, and integration architecture.
• Analyze complex production issues and coordinate resolution activities.
• Support platform enhancements, system optimization, and strategic technology initiatives.
• Review solution designs and ensure alignment with business and architectural objectives.
• Coordinate SIT, release validation, and production rollout activities.
• Proactively identify delivery risks, technical challenges, and dependency impacts.
• Collaborate with business users, quantitative teams, risk management, operations, and technology stakeholders across regions.
