Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a junior trader for its Equity Synthetic Products Trading team in Hong Kong. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
• 1–3 years' experience in trading.
• Strong interest in global financial markets and derivatives.
• Experience in data analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Python.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure.
• Solid work ethic and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Synthetic franchise – manage the day-to-day operation and integrity of the synthetic platform, ensuring client trades are executed and booked smoothly.
• Flow risk – lead daily risk management and improve hedging strategies across equity, FX and cross-currency risk.
• Product management – lead strat and engineering teams toward strategic goals (netting, locates, pricing).
• Client strategy – partner with sales to execute strategies that drive client balance and flow growth.
• Data analytics – analyze data to quantify client behavior and identify inefficiencies across the books.
• Broker relationships – build relationships with trading counterparts to expand opportunities across asset classes.
• PNL controls – maintain P&L controls and perform reconciliations for financial reporting.
