Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an Associate in Equity Derivatives Trading in Hong Kong. You will provide quotations on structured products for institutional and retail clients and manage risks across equity options, futures, IR swaps, FX, and related instruments.

You will maintain positions within limits, supply liquidity to clients, and collaborate with global sales and structuring teams to drive revenue. Automation of quotes and risk tools will be a focus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Financial Markets and knowledge of derivatives products.
• Good overview on regulation and accounting, including upcoming changes which impact the industry.
• Good understanding of different client business models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with very strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quotations of structured products on indices for institutional and retail clients.
• Manage risks by trading derivatives: equity options, futures, IR swap, FX, and related products.
• Maintain risk positions within limits.
• Provide liquidity to clients and manage positions to maximize trading revenue.
• Monitor gap risks specific to structured products.
• Communicate with global sales and structuring teams.
• Generate new trading ideas and expand product coverage.
• Develop synergies between flow and structured products by recycling risks.
• Ensure trading activity respects risk parameters and improve position management.
• Improve quotation process by automating requests and enhancing tools.
