Job summary

SGS Hong Kong Limited is seeking a detail-oriented textile testing professional. You will prepare samples, conduct laboratory tests, and assess color fastness and appearance changes in fabrics and garments according to international standards.

The role requires a Diploma in Textile, Garment, Physics, Product Testing or Chemistry, and at least 1 year of textile testing experience. Fresh graduates may be considered as Engineer Trainee; strong teamwork and language skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Textile / Garment / Physics / Product Testing / Chemistry or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in textiles testing is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with high potential may be considered as Engineer Trainee.
• Strong passion in laboratory testing and research.
• A good team player with positive working attitude.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform laboratory tests in accordance with standard operating procedures, international standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the color change/ cross staining of the color fastness specimens base on the international standard.
• Evaluate the appearance change of fabric/ garment after laundering.
• Rate the effect or defects of test specimen.
