Job summary

Gain City Group of Companies in Hong Kong is seeking an Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to grow in Project Management, Facilities Management and Operation Management. He will review, plan and execute mechanical and electrical projects, manage facilities owned or operated by Gain City Group of Companies, and oversee ACMV installations.

You will lead technical teams, coordinate with clients and vendors, optimize costs and drive process improvements while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with ACMV systems and electrical installations.
• Knowledge of data analytics is an advantageous plus.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Develop project plans, schedules, manpower deployment and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with project clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover of M&E works.
• Monitor and resolve technical issues on-site with engineering solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to grow in the area of Project Management, Facilities Management and Operation Management. He will be involved in reviewing, planning and executing mechanical and electrical engineering projects, managing facilities owned or operated by Gain City Group of Companies, as well as overseeing and improving the operations in Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) installation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Develop project plans, schedules, manpower deployment, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, standards, and safety regulations.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E works.
• Resolve technical issues on-site and provide engineering solutions promptly.
• Coordinate with project clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims.

Facilities Management

• Develop and plan work schedules, resource allocation, and manpower for assigned tasks.
• Lead and provide technical guidance and support to in-house technicians in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Managed outsourced vendors and subcontractors in carrying out necessary servicing, maintenance and repair works.
• Ensure that in-house teams and outsourced contractors adhere to safety standards and conduct their work with proper risk assessments and safety measures

Operation Management

• Lead and manage supervisors, technicians and support staff.
• Plan, schedule and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Optimize manpower allocation and resource utilization.

Process Improvement

• Review and improve SOPs and process, including adopting digitalisation and technologies to raise efficiency and effectiveness.
• Review and enhance performance-based incentive schemes

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Knowledge and experience in data analytics will be an advantage

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice
• Strong ability and experience in managing operations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams
